Situated on the coast between Southport and Liverpool, Formby is well known for the pinewoods and the National trust involvement at Formby Point.
The woods here are home to the native red squirrel and there is a walk through the woods were you will almost certainly spot these lively little animals.
Nearby is the beach where you can see ancient footprints preserved in the sand.
Just a bit further down the coast to Crosby you can see Anthony Gormleys other place sculptures.
