Culroos
Culroos
Although only a small place it is a lovely little town its main claim to fame is that St Mungo the patron saint of Glasgow was born here.
The town grew as a consequence of undersea mining when this finished textiles and shoes filled the gap. Culroos is Scotland’s best preserved 17th Burgh and is full of protected buildings along with cobbled streets and whitewashed cottages.
