The town of Mousehole pronounced mowzle is a picture postcard village with lovely cottages tumbling down to the beach, protected by a breakwater. The town grew as a pilchard port but now it is reliant on tourism a veritable honeypot that is packed in summer and quiet in winter.

The villages narrow streets, courtyards and alleys are great to explore, the town has a famous Christmas lights display, Mousehole’s original name was Port Enys meaning landing place by the island this refers to the island of St Clements just offshore.

The narrow streets, alleyways and courtyards of this charming village are best explored on foot down by the harbour the views are idyllic ideal for artists and photographers.
