Zennor
The little town of Zennor is set in moorland overlooking the sea near Pendour cove it is a landscape of rocky outcrops and dry stone walls.
The town has a legend that tells of a mermaid who fell in love with a local lad Mathew Trewhella after she heard him singing. This charming tale is depicted in a carving on a famous chair that is in the medieval church of St Senara.
The locals say you can sometimes hear them singing down by the cove.
Nearby to the church is the wayside folk museum and not far again is the lovely Tinners arms a traditional Cornish Inn.
