Symonds Yat view is probably one of the most recognized landscape views in the country, featuring in countless calendar's, books and postcards.
From the viewpoint you can see the great bend in the river on a clear day it is stunning.
Symonds Yat rock viewpoint is set on the edge of a forest you approach the stone flagged viewing area via a pleasant woodland path from the car park in the woods.
It is an amazing experience as you walk slightly uphill and then the vista of the river comes into view over the parapet of the platform.
There are constant streams of people but most don't stay long so if you want to get pictures and soak in the view it is not a problem.
On the way you pass a small café there are other facilities near to the car park which is also set in the forest.
There are lots of trails and walks to explore once you have enjoyed the view.
