    The city is set on a beautiful coastline surrounded by fantastic scenery the UK’s first AONB the Gower is just a stone’s throw away. This enthralling combination of dramatic coastline and beautiful countryside will appeal to the whole family. From outdoor fun and water sports on the many glorious beaches to rambling and exploring in the hills and valleys or walking on the acclaimed wales coast path.

    If adrenalin filled, action is not for you visit the picturesque town of Mumbles the gateway to the Gower. Alternatively, unwind in the Swansea Marina over a drink or coffee or enjoy a meal in one of the many fine restaurants.

    Wales’s waterfront city has a link to the past in its name Sweyn’s Eye the city was founded by the Norseman Sweyn Forkbeard.

    The Norseman was not the only famous person to call the city home Dylan Thomas Wales’s hero and poet was born here and today you can discover all about the Swansea boy with a visit to his home and birthplace.
