Scottish Islands
Scotland has many Islands Surrounding its coastline, according to Wikipedia a total of 790 offshore islands. Most of these are found in the well-known archipelagos such as the Orkneys, Outer Hebrides, and the Shetland isles.
These range in size from small rocky islets to larger islands like Iona, Lewis and the isle of Arran to name a few. There are also clusters of islands in the Firth of Forth, Firth of Clyde, and Solway Firth; in addition there are numerous islands in the many lochs and lakes of Scotland.
Many of these beautiful Islands can be reached by ferry services while the more remote are sometimes visited by private charter using boats or light aircraft.
