Bute
The island of Bute sits at the foot of the Cowal peninsular separated from the mainland by the beautiful stretch of water known as the Kyle of Bute.
The northern part of the island is hilly the south more gentle and pastoral.
In the south of the island is Rothesay a resort and small port, there is a ruined castle that was destroyed by Cromwell in the 17th century.
