The tiny Nottinghamshire village of Winkburn is home to one of the few Temple churches in Britain, the 12th century church belonged to the Knights Hospitallers and the order of St John of Jerusalem.
The church is quite simple consisting of a nave and a Norman tower is also has Jacobean canopy , nearby Winkburn Hall was built in the early 18th century and was the home of the Burnell family. The tiny stream the wink flows through the village.
