Troon
Troon is well known as a centre for golf and sailing situated on the west coast just north of Ayr it also has excellent sandy beaches.
There are six golf courses in total, the most famous is the Championship old course Royal Troon, this is a links course and a must for golf enthusiasts.
Nearby interests, include Culzean castle and Country Park this is one of the most impressive of Scotland’s country houses, designed by Robert Adam and is a masterpiece.
