Settle is a bustling market town lying on the edge of the Yorkshire dales National Park it is also a good place from which to tour Ribbelsdale. The town has many cobbled streets leading off from market square that are great to explore.
The town hall is a magnificent Neo Gothic building, Settle has plenty of shops, pubs and a market on Tuesdays so there is plenty of retail therapy to be had.
The famous Settle Carlisle railway runs here through very scenic countryside.
